Why and How is Food Processed

The food processing sphere is erected on the detrimental industrial fats and oils, feebly extracted from the seeds like corn and soybeans. The seeds have to undergo through some terrible procedure to make clean cooking oils. The horrendous process includes bleaching, degumming, deodorizing, filtering and removing saturates in order to make the oils more liquid. The truth behind it is that all the nutrients and antioxidants except the pesticides disappear in the process. It is also seen that the process also includes a hexane solvent so as to squeeze the very last drop of oil out of the seeds.

To extract a solid fat from the liquid abstract most manufacturers allow the oils to go through a process of partial hydrogenation. Here the seeds are processed under high temperature and pressure to get a solid fat out of it. Then the remaining portion is removed with hexane solvents. Further, it is steamed to reach a clean liquefied state. But unfortunately, the process removes all the necessary vitamins and the antioxidants from the oil. The clean oil is now ready with all the pesticides with it.

Then it comes to the bleaching process where some artificial flavors along with the synthetic vitamins are added to the oil to get rid of the gray color and to make it a clean solution.

There will be a greater risk of dangerous diseases like cancer, degeneration of joints and tendons due to the intake of these trans fatty acids.  Every bit of the shortenings, margarine and the low-trans-fat spreads are made of the destructive ingredients, which are hazardous to the human body. Most restaurants use these oils and fats for cooking fries. Moreover, these oils and fats are nicely used in crackers and chips also.

Some research and investigation suggest that with each generation the facial structure of the people is becoming more and more narrow while a vigorous face should be broad in shape. Only if you eat real, nutrient-dense foods you will find the perfect, absolute expression of the genetic potential. As we are diverting more towards eating processed foods, leaving the traditional diet back our subsequent generation will be into dangerous diseases of various kinds. Food preparation is, in fact, a sacred activity and should be whole and hearty, we need to make our own food. So turning our backs to the processed food and get back to the old kitchen is the only way of survival.

In the food processing industry stainless steel is always the primary choice of material as is doesn’t corrode, rust or stain, it has excellent hygiene properties and is able to withstand extreme temperatures from -25°C to +200°C. Stainless steel ball valves and sanitary fittings conform to ISO 4144 standard, specifying the pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, and materials of stainless steel fittings.
